Words to Whisper to Your Neighbor

Nothing brings me joy quite like the return of Spring. It’s the season of sunshine reflecting off dewdrops in the early morning hours. It’s the arrival of the blue skies that I’ve so desperately desired to see again. It’s the time of year that ushers in new life, brings growth, green leaves reappear on trees, fresh flower blossoms of every shape and color bloom. It’s the return of the smell of freshly cut grass and the sounds of birds in their nests. It is so many things, but above all, Spring, for me, is bliss.

I adore this quote from A.A. Milne’s book When We Were Very Young,

“She turned to the sunlight
    And shook her yellow head,
And whispered to her neighbor:
    ‘Winter is dead.’ “
